Reginald Rawls (80) was born in St. Paul, MN. He worked at Nettleton Shoe Factory before enlisting. His military service lasted from July 1948 to January 1952. During his service period, he went to Inchon, where he was stationed from September 1950 to 1952. He served in the 7th Division, 32nd Infantry, 1st Battalion Service Company as a Private and Corporal in the National Guard and Reserves E9 before his discharge. He was a truck driver, and participated in five battles at Chosin. After he returned to the United States, he spent 10 months at Fort Devens, MA. When he went home, he looked for a job and got married three months after being discharged from military service.
