Edward Grala (78) was born in Syracuse, New York. He was working at Carrier Corporation before enlisting in the military. His military service lasted four years from February 1953 to February 1957. He was serving in the 5039 Air Transport Squadron as A/B A/1C before being discharged. He was a crew chief on a C-47 aircraft and also a flight mechanic. As a result of his commitments, Grala received honors for Good Conduct as well as the National Defense Air Crew Badge.
