Calvin D. Karram (80) was born in Lawrence, MA, and had been in high school before enlisting on June 18, 1950. He arrived in Pusan in December of 1950 and was stationed in many different areas as a part of the 5th R.C.T. His specialty was in heavy weapons, and he received the CIB, Korean Presidential and US Presidential awards for his commitments as S. SGT. Calvin departed Korea in December of 1951, and stayed in the army until his discharge in November 1959. After his discharge, he was schooled as a locksmith. Now, he enjoys bowling, snow skiing, and fishing as a few of his hobbies.
