Richard Faron (79) was born in New York City. He was working for a bank in Uniondale, New York before he enlisted at Hempstead, Long Island. His military service was carried out from 1952 to November 1954. During his service period, he arrived at Incheon, Korea, and was stationed at Seoul from October 1952 to October 1954. He served in the 21st Finance Corp. as a sergeant before his discharge. He was in charge of the finance infantry and artillery. After returning to the United States, he was discharged, and went to college. What impacted him most during the war was the poverty he witnesses. His hobbies include golfing, bowling, and building model airplanes.
