Joseph Casper (80) was born in Auburn, NY. He was working as a printer’s apprentice at the Auburn, NY newspaper before being drafted at Rochester, NY. His military service was carried out from December 23, 1952 to December 22, 1956. He served in the US Coast Guard as a Seaman Recruit upon entering, and was discharged as a Yeoman of the 2nd class. He was in charge of marine inspection. Joseph received Honorable Discharge with a Good Conduct Medal as well as other medals for his commitments. After being discharged from the military, he completed his apprenticeship in printing, and his hobbies include farming, gardening, and traveling.
