L. T. Whitmore (77) was born in Dayton, Ohio, and was a student at Wittenburg College in Springfield, Ohio, before he enlisted on December 16, 1953. He arrived in the K-2 Air Base in March of 1954, and was a part of the Hospital as an AIC upon entering and a MSGT before discharge. Working as a medic, he received the Korean Service and UN Service medals for his commitments. He departed from Korea in June of 1955 and worked as a DR technician, TI, and 1st SGT physician assistant before being discharged on June 31, 1976. He continued to be a physician’s assistant after discharge. What impacted him most during the war were the refugees. His hobbies now include photography.
