Marvin Bass (84) was born in Vernon, TX. He was farming and raising cattle when he was drafted. In February 1951, he arrived in Pusan and was stationed on the front lines as a SFC. He participated in Old Baldy, the Punch Bowl, and Heartbreak Ridge. For his commitments, he received 3 bronze stars. Of his friends he still recalls Marthon ‘Ben’ Hagan. After returning from his rotation, Bass went to work for General Motors in Arlington, TX. One of hobbies has always been sports, and he currently belongs to KWVA Chapter 215.
